Sage announced Sage HCM on April 23, 2026, introducing a connected platform for mid-market human capital management.
The solution connects HR, payroll, workforce data, and financial management through an integrated platform. It also includes AI-powered workflow automation and industry-specific capabilities for construction businesses.
Sage Expands Workforce Management Through Connected HR and Finance
Sage HCM brings Workforce Management data closer to financial planning and operational decision-making. The platform is designed to provide greater visibility into workforce costs and payroll information.
The platform combines Workforce Management with core HR, payroll, time, and talent workflows. This approach aims to reduce fragmentation across separate workforce and financial systems.
Sage also introduced the HCM Agent for AI-powered HR and payroll workflow automation. The agent supports payroll preparation, validation, reconciliation, and identification of potential compliance risks.
For construction companies, Sage HCM includes capabilities supporting union rules, certified payroll, and prevailing wage requirements. These functions connect labor information with project financial data for improved cost visibility.
The launch positions Workforce Management as a connected business function rather than an isolated HR process. Sage also said the platform supports better workforce planning through unified operational and financial information.
The development reflects growing demand for integrated HR technology across mid-market organizations. Businesses increasingly seek systems connecting workforce costs, payroll accuracy, compliance, and planning activities.
Sage HCM and its construction offering became generally available in the United States and Canada from April 2026.
